Support PAWS: Empowering Youth and Building a Stronger Community

At PAWS Youth and Advocacy Center, we are committed to making a lasting impact in our community through youth sports and advocacy. We believe that sports, particularly baseball, can serve as a powerful catalyst for social change. By providing young people with opportunities to engage in sports, we foster personal growth, teamwork, and community spirit. Your support is crucial in helping us achieve our mission and make a difference in the lives of young athletes and the local community!

A message from PAWS

As one of the most unique safe spaces for our community’s youth, we were given no significant warning to move out of our facility after investing years and hundreds of thousands of dollars, not just into a building, but into our community; did you hear that, our community! It’s extremely evident for those of you who have ever been there.

At PAWS Youth and Advocacy Center, we are committed to making a lasting impact in our community through youth sports and advocacy. We believe that sports, particularly baseball/softball, can serve as a powerful catalyst for social change. By providing young people with opportunities to engage in sports, we foster personal growth, teamwork, and community spirit. We’re eagerly working to put bats and gloves, made possible by MLB and Nike through our affiliation with their RBI program, into the hands of young underprivileged kids. Your support is crucial in helping us achieve our mission and make a difference in the lives of young athletes and the local community!

We ask you to please read our story, learn about our history and journey; simply learn who we are. It’s important people understand how long it takes to get established with something like this, and we are losing our facility for the organization itself, for the community, for our former program dogs, all in the midst of still doing so. The lack of understanding and support, especially of our city, is why we’re all witnessing the state of it and its youth as it is today. This organization brought value to that neighborhood, just by being present, let alone with what we’re trying to accomplish like any other non profit that truly serves kids, that truly serves animals….and this is a true grassroots non profit. At the end of the day, we know this is all a blessing in disguise, and our intent was never to stay there permanently, but we were hoping to become more sustainable and more established before finding a new space a few years down the road.

Through our mission and programs throughout the years, we managed to deliver some significant accomplishments within our city alone, and that was with two people and a few volunteers doing the work of a fully staffed organization. This time around, we were able to do it with much less….so I promise you we work hard behind our money.

We just ask you all to support us and get behind our mission.
